As stated by the Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI), high-performance vacuum cleaners have a major effect on improved indoor air quality. Vacuum cleaners also play a big part in the life span of your carpet and tile, with certain vacuums removing and containing soil more effectively than others, helping your floor last longer. CRI recognizes these vacuums regarding its Green Label Testing Program.
The Green Label Testing Program specializes three key performance factors. First, vacuums must remove a particular portion of soil from carpet in four passes. Second, and maybe most vital to indoor air quality, which happens to be the vacuum’s permission to contain dust. Vacuums should never release greater than 100 micrograms of dust particles per cubic meter of air, bearing in mind dust released by the brush rolls and thru the filtration bag. Lastly, the CRI tests the rug appearance retention, as vacuums should minimally affect the looks of flooring over the course of a year.
Central vacuum systems capture dust, dirt and allergens without stirring up microscopic particles and re-emitting them into interior spaces. “Central vacuums are up to five times more powerful than they typically do portable vacuums and don’t recirculate any particles back directly into home,” says Christian Reick-Mitrisin of Nutone.
NuTone Central Vacuum Systems are Green Label-certified and contain High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, meaning dust and bacteria are trapped fantastic before. Two different systems can be found-bagged and cyclonic versions. The cyclonic version contains a simple-to-clean filter, which can be simply accessed throughout the door panel.
The bagged version maintains the easy-on/easy-off snap-release bag change mechanism that closes the opening immediately upon removal, so exactly what goes in stays in.
“NuTone Central Vacuum Systems consist of lightweight polymer invented to resist rust and dents,” says Reick-Mitrisin. “The vacuum canisters in addition provide quiet cleaning since the power units contain an internal sound suppression system and are often within the the garage, basement or utility room and never in the overall living area.” [monetize id=”1″]

Purple power.. Carpet cleaning, uk?My boyfriend is a mechanic and I have beige carpet.. It’s a bit wrecked! I heard purple power is excellent to use but I can’t seem to get hold of it in the uk not even on eBay, where can u get it here or is there another cheap equivalent? Also where can ibgrt a carpet rake on the highstreet?
rather than trying to do the job yourself. Oil is not hard to get out of a carpet if you use the right products( it will not come out by only washing no matter how good the cleaning chemical is. A good carpet cleaner would pre wash the dirty and oily areas with a product that will brake oil down ( i would use either DD10 or champion depending on the fiber type )
then i would agitate into the carpet and leave standing for a while.to brake the oil down then i would wash with a good quality do It Yourself Carpet Cleaning Solution at a high temperature ( up to boiling point again depending on the fiber type. PS if there are stains they would be treat as well.
Can you tell me why you want a carpet rake ? Unless you have a shag pile carpet i would buy a cheap stiff NYLON yard brush this will bring the pile up and you will find it a lot cheaper than a pile rake and a better result check out www.ritz-cleaners.co.uk for loads of free advice.
Are carpet cleaning solutions dangerous to your cat?I had two rooms cleaned and my kitty was playing on the carpet in one with a ball. Then she started licking her behind and underside of her tail. Could this be corrosive or toxic to her? The carpet seemed slightly sticky to me as if it had not been rinsed well. I kept her off the carpet for four hours.
I tried going over it several times with just water.
I had a proffessional come in to clean the rugs and this is what they told me. Soap build up.Any suggestions how to remove it?
Will using vinegar and water “clean” my carpets? (remove high traffic area dirt)
I have the Pro Heat Bissell Carpet Cleaner.
Apparently this is a common problem when using a home shampooer. They don’t seem to get all the shampoo out.
