How to Clean Carpets like a Professional

How to Clean Carpets like a Professional

Our busy lifestyles don’t always allow us to get all of the daily chores done. A 40 hour work week can take its toll on us, and by the time the weekend arrives, the last thing we want to deal with is mopping the floor. Residential cleaning services can put your home on their list of chores. These companies offer maids that literally come in and clean things up to get you back in that spotless environment. Let’s face it, no one wants to come home to a mess. Residential cleaning services can help you with this dilemma. My first notion was to flip through the phone book, in search of residential cleaning services. I thought if I could get someone to come out to the house and do a professional job, then maybe the ridiculous smell would be banished forever. Soon enough we located a residential cleaning service, and they were prompt about taking care of our problem. When they were finished, the carpet looked as good as new. What is the definition of clean? I know what I consider clean. However, my spouse doesn’t always agree. Cleaning our homes can be a tiring and tedious process. It never seems like it’s actually done. You clean the bathroom, but the next day there is already hair in the sink and scum in the toilet bowl. We all know the routine. An alternative option available to those who cannot get around to those daily regimes of scrubbing and vacuuming, is residential cleaning services. These services actually come to your home and clean it for you.

In the past I took advantage of residential cleaning services. I needed their professional services due to my lack of cleaning abilities. My wife had a cat that unfortunately wasn’t fixed. This caused a horrible stench that I wish upon no one. With the unbearable affliction of urine stains all over our carpets, we had to find help fast.

If you are searching for decent residential cleaning services, it is prudent to start online. There are a number of company websites, which offer a variety of cleaning services to your convenience. Not everyone has time to take care of their home cleaning on a regular basis, but no one wants a filthy home. Fortunately there are residential cleaning services ready to tackle your home cleaning chores.

Issues with a Professional Carpet Cleaning? What is the point of putting the furniture pads under the furniture if the carpet under the furniture isn’t cleaned under? I had my carpets cleaned today and I’m sure they didn’t clean under the furniture, but yet there were pads underneath. Do carpet cleaners actually clean under furniture? I guess I was under the impression they did, when the website says, we move your furniture and put it back into the original position. I’m a little frustrated that I didn’t notice earlier, and am debating on calling them. Thoughts?

Generally, carpet cleaners do clean under furniture, so long as it is reasonable. If an item can be moved by 1-2 men, they will move it. Of course, it depends on the carpet cleaner. If they put the pads underneath, then they are trying to mislead you into thinking that they did clean underneath, which to me is pretty dumb… I mean if they are going to move the furniture to put the pads underneath anyway, why the hell not just clean under there.

How are you so sure? Is it wet elsewhere and not under there?

If you are sure, then I would say call. They misled you.. Besides, I do not know who you used, but many companies sub the work out, and it is quite possible that an independent contractor that they subbed the work out to knew they were suppose to, but didn t feel like it.

The company might actually be happy to know… And they may even do something by you.

If you really wanted to, you could request that they come back to clean underneath the furniture, and if they are a decent company they will do it… Either way, it could not hurt to call, just to let them know that you are unhappy with the service and with the technicians attempt to deceive you. At the least, you might get a discount next time, and/or if they do send someone back, you can be sure, it will be one of their best guys, or the owner himself.

Professional carpet cleaning? What is the difference between steam cleaninig and deep cleaning? I don’t think we have very dirty carpet but it was always suggested by our carpet cleaner (by the way – I hate how they always upsell their services). Anyways – I want to have another carpet cleaning soon in the spring and would like to be more educated about this.Bottom line is – if ‘steaming cleaning’ does not clean… Why bother having such service in the first place?

There are many ways to clean carpets. One is where they APPLY a dry cleaning agent on your carpet, agitate the chemical into the carpet fibers and then vacuum it up. I do not prefer this method.

The one I prefer is Steam Cleaning. But be sure it is a truck mount – so that it has enough suction to remove all detergents. Don’t rent the steam cleaners at the super markets – all they will do is ruin your carpets because they don’t have enough power to clean and/or remove the cleaning chemicals.

STEAM CLEAN – IT’S THE BEST!

Did you know cleaning carpet yourself or hiring some professional cleaners will void your carpet warranty?Learn from my expensive mistake. I have carpet that cost me close to $4.50 per sf to purchase. It had a 15 year warranty for wear and stains. It had a 10 year warranty for texture retention. I have over $3,000 invested in this carpet. It is all crushed down and flat in less than 5 years. So I make a claim.
Today they send over an independent inspector. They guy has a bunch of credentials from the IICRC. Http://iicrc.org/consumers/care/carpet-i… He seemed to know his stuff, but I think this was a set up. He asked if I ever had my carpets cleaned with a rotary machine. Well yes, I use Heaven’s Best. I think they do a great job and they come every year.
He tells me this voided the carpet’s warranty. It has to be steam cleaned by a certified professional. I didn’t know this. It was in the paper work from what he said was a copy of the warranty I was given. I don’t know. I can’t find my warranty. There it was in sort of small 8 point type it has to be professionally cleaned by a certified steam cleaner.
Was I just scammed? Have you ever made a warranty claim on an expensive carpet? I plan on using my carpet cleaners again in November. Maybe next year get new (different brand) carpet. This carpet is Stainmaster. Thanks.

Actually this may be true. Here’s what most warranties say about professional carpet cleaning:
“Routine maintenance is essential to maintaining your warranty. Over time, normal foot traffic and soiling will cause a change in any carpet’s appearance. Professional extraction, either alone or in combination with cleaning, is required to maintain your warranty. This service must be performed by a trained professional occasionally to refresh the texture and rejuvenate the fibers in your carpet. Please retain your receipts for proof of maintenance should a warranty claim arise.” (All-Brite Services, Maryland)…read more here in our blog to see what you can do and good luck!
